Founder of Living Water Aquaculture, Nathan Cleasby, was awarded the 2023 Science and Innovation Award for his project ‘Developing novel hatchery technology for the Australian Freshwater Crayfish Industry’. This award was presented at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry ABARES Outlook 2023 Conference dinner, where Nathan also won the ultimate honour of ‘Minister’s Award’. This additional award provides Nathan with a further $22,000 in funding to extend his hatchery project.
